Zebra Agate Beads

Most agates occur as nodules in volcanic rocks or ancient lavas. where they filled in the cavities. These agates, when cut into beads and pendants, show a succession of parallel lines. They often give it a wavy banded appearance. Such stones are known as banded agate, striped agate, or natural agate.
